The village of Faleseela, Lefaga proudly joined Samoa’s Tsunami Ready Programme today, marking another significant milestone in strengthening community preparedness and resilience against tsunami hazards. 
The programme brought together village leaders, women, youth, and community members to enhance awareness of tsunami risks, strengthen evacuation planning, and promote coordinated actions that help safeguard lives and livelihoods. Through active participation and meaningful discussions, the community reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring everyone is informed, prepared, and ready to respond when disasters strike. 
This initiative is implemented by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) through the Disaster Management Office and Sāmoa Meteorological Divisions with support from UNESCO and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
