About us 

The Information, Communication, and Technology Division (ICT) is one of the supporting Divisions within the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE). Our division is dedicated to supporting the Ministry’s mission of promoting environmental sustainability. By leveraging ICT tools, data management systems, and clear communication strategies, we empower the Ministry to make informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and engage with the public on vital environmental issues. We are made up of three specialized sections: IT Networking, IT Database and Programming, and Communication and Media. These sections work collaboratively to provide seamless IT solutions, secure data management, and effective communication to meet the needs of the Ministry and the communities we serve.

GOALS

Our goal is to enhance the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment’s operational
efficiency by leveraging cutting-edge technology and communication strategies. We aim to improve data management, streamline service delivery, and facilitate transparent communication with both internal stakeholders and the general public. Through our efforts, we seek to contribute to the sustainable development of Samoa by supporting informed decision-making, responsible resource management, and a more connected community.

  • Ensure seamless internal and external communication systems.

    information.
  • Deliver timely and clear communication about environmental initiatives to the
    public.
  • Utilize social media, press releases, and other channels to raise awareness.
  • Strengthen the Ministry’s digital presence and engagement with the community.
  • Adopt new technologies to improve operational efficiency and contribute to
    environmental goals.
