The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) in collaboration with the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) held the Second Samoa National Invasive Task Team (SNITT) Meeting of the year on the 28th of August, 2026.
Members of the SNITT Committee presented updates from their respective Agencies and Organizations regarding recent works related to Invasive Alien Species (IAS). The meeting also allowed members to raise any potential concerns, ask questions, and further develop their understanding on current and future initiatives.
The Committee looks forward to meeting more regularly and to continue working in close collaboration with one another to ensure the sustainable management of priority IAS across Samoa.
