πΉπΉThe Aana Alofi 3, including villages of Leulumoega, Leulumoega Tuai, and Nofoalii, successfully concluded its consultation with a significant number of registered farmers and community representatives attending. The event was convening at the Catholic Church Hall of Leulumoega Tuai on Wednesday, 6 May 2026
πΉπΉThe program was facilitated by the Forestry Division of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE). The consultation highlighted the importance of forest restoration in Samoa and reinforced the need for sustained community engagement in national reforestation efforts.
πΉπΉThe participants were provided with a comprehensive overview of the campaignβs objectives and implementation framework, alongside information on opportunities available through the Community Forestry Programme. The session also highlighted the essential functions of forests in mitigating climate change impacts, conserving biodiversity, and supporting sustainable livelihoods.
πΉπΉFurthermore, the consultation created an avenue for stakeholders to demonstrate their interest in tree planting initiatives, with detailed discussions held on the Farmerβs Grant application process, whereby Farmers are receiving financial aid to plant trees.
πΉπΉOverall, the consultation process has reaffirmed the central role of community participation in advancing environmental sustainability and strengthening national resilience.
