The Campaign successfully completed its consultation on Tuesday, 5 May 2026 for the District of Aana Alofi 2, held at the Ekalesia Katoliko Hall, Fasitoo-Uta. A strong turnout of registered farmers and community members of the district which made it possible for the Ministry to deliver the key messages of the consultation.


The session, facilitated by the Forestry Division, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), emphasized the need to restore Samoaβs forests while promoting active participation from communities to the national reforestation program.

The objectives and framework of the 3 Million Tree Planting Campaign

Opportunities available under the Community Forestry Program

The critical role of forests in addressing climate change, protecting biodiversity, and sustaining livelihoods


The consultation also provided a valuable platform for farmers to express their interest and commitment to tree planting initiatives, while applications for the Farmerβs Grant were shared and discussed.


These engagements continue to highlight the vital role of communities in building a greener and more resilient Samoa.
