🌿 The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), through its Division of Environment and Conservation, conducted a community consultation with Falealupo as part of the development of an Invasive Alien Species (IAS) Management Plan.
🤝The consultation brought together village representatives to discuss practical and sustainable approaches to managing invasive alien species while promoting community participation in protecting the village’s natural environment. 🌱
🌱 During the programme, Consultant Afi’a James Atherton presented an overview of the IAS Management Plan, while Miss Moeumu Uili delivered a presentation as part of the technical programme. The session also provided an opportunity for participants to share their local knowledge, experiences, and recommendations, contributing valuable input towards the development of a management plan that reflects the priorities of the Falealupo community. 🦜🌺
