The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), through its Climate Change Division convened the CBIT Inception Workshop at the Lava Hotel.

At the heart of the project is a people-centered approach that highlights the vital role of technical officers, institutions, and data providers. By deepening understanding of national climate reporting obligations, systems and their importance.

The initiative builds the tools and human capacity needed to produce credible, relevant reports that reflect Samoa's resilience and progress under the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement.

The workshop revisited earlier consultations, reinforced shared objectives, and fostered dialogue among stakeholders to advance climate governance and sustainability.

The Ministry expressed appreciation to development partners, including the Global Environment Facility via UNEP and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), for their continued support.
