The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) has successfully completed three weeks of district prioritisation consultations under the Blue and Green Islands Integrated Programme \u2013 Coastal Resilience Samoa (BGI-IP CRS) Project, concluding with Falealili 1 & 2 District on 27 August 2026.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The consultations were conducted to support the project\u2019s Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) Survey and gather valuable community perspectives on coastal resilience, environmental conservation, and sustainable natural resource management. Representatives from participating villages shared their local knowledge, priorities, and perspectives, helping to identify and prioritize Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and community-led actions that respond to local environmental and climate challenges.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

With the completion of the Falealili 1 & 2 consultation, MNRE has successfully concluded the pre-KAP consultations across all nine selected districts, providing an important foundation for the implementation of the project. The information gathered will help inform evidence-based planning and ensure that project activities are responsive to community needs and priorities.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
