strengthen Samoa&#8217;s national capacity to prevent, detect and respond effectively to invasive species that threaten the country&#8217;s biodiversity, agriculture, natural environment, economy, Foliga, Assistant Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) for the Division of Environment and Conservation (DEC), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), highlighted the significance of the workshop in enhancing Samoa&#8217;s collective capacity to prevent, detect and respond effectively to invasive species, thereby protecting the nation&#8217;s biodiversity, agriculture, environment, economy and public health.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"html-span xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl x1hl2dhg demonstrated the far-reaching environmental and economic impacts these species can inflict if not detected and managed promptly.
