Wind direction and speed towers. The white tower on the left replaces the older red one while in the background is the original Dines PTA (Pressure Tube Anemometer) installed in the 30s. The latter was in use up until it was disabled by damage sustained during Cyclone Ofa. 

Pictured to the left on the seawall is the sunshine recorder. The wind anemometer towers are to the right with a rain gauge recorder in the foreground. 

Within the meteorological instruments enclosure are the rain gauges, evaporation tank, grass thermometer, and 1m and 30cm ground thermometers

The Stevenson screen which houses the maximum, minimum, dry and wet bulb thermometers. The screen, as with other screens located at 3 other climate stations are oriented to have the observer face due North while taking temperature readings.
